So I had to take a little break to settle my daughter into the first week at a brand-new school and kick-off a hefty freelance writing project, but I’ve been DYING to get back to it so I could jump into JavaScript review.
I’d already promised my daughter that my next website would be about cake (she’s a big fan) and while I was working on my new writing project, I came across a really gorgeous website for a company in the green energy space and decided that I’d test myself by mimicking the design with the subject matter at hand. Best case, it’d look great, worst case it’d be really funny.
Naturally, my daughter wanted to be involved, so I made her the unofficial copywriter (because why not?).
Today, I created and styled the banner and header and I think it came out really well:
I used absolute positioning to position the text over the banner video and the header is positioned with flexbox.
