D36: Building That Portfolio

I kicked off the final project in Free Code Camp’s Responsive Web Design course today: the Personal Portfolio Webpage. Man, was it weird to type “web developer” under my name, because I’m not there yet, but I will be.

One of the most surprising things about this journey (and the thing has kept me going) was that I didn’t have to fight for motivation. I’m pretty obsessed with web development and coding. The more I learn, the more I want to learn and when something stumps me or I’m close to finishing something up, it kills me to have to walk away for the sake of being able to function at work the next day.

I console myself with the fact that, though it may take longer than I’d like, because I just don’t have the amount of time I would like to devote to this, I will get there. And when I do… look out.

So, in the meantime, I’m here building my sparse little portfolio.

But it won’t be sparse for long.
